This was interesting. I lived in a Blue Zone in Germany that was studied. Most of the original inhabitants of the area were living into there triple digits, the oldest woman passed away at 109, the youngest at 92. Most reached or exceeded 100 with few who reached adulthood dying until well into their 90s. The exceptions of course were during WW2, when American and British bombers often missed Nuremberg and devastated the small farm communities surrounding it. The study concluded it was not the water or unusual properties in the soil or on account of a special diet. I guess that means it is genetic.
