Dark Chocolate: This is everyone’s favorite. The allure of dark deliciously sweet chocolate is just too strong and it affects your body on whole new levels. Dark chocolate contains polyphenols which have the ability to boost your moods. Dark chocolate also has the power to reduce the chances of health related diseases, diabetes and helps in reduction of weight as well. Choose a chocolate bar that has 70% cacao and you’re in for a happy treat!

Broccoli: Yes, jumping right onto broccoli after dark chocolate. You don’t have to eat this highly hated vegetable everyday but its consumption will greatly help you in being happy. It contains chromium, which is a beneficial mineral for the body to release happiness chemicals from  the brain.

Clams: Clams are a great source of vitamin B12 and it assists in keeping your brain balance in check. This food item is only applicable to people who have a vitamin B12 deficiency and it might do wonders for your moods!

Coffee: Harvard University researched on coffee and deduced that it is a great way to combat depression. Women who consume 2 to 3 cups of coffee daily reduce the chances of being depressed by 15%. Caffeine is a stimulant therefore it should not be used at the wrong times to interfere with your sleeping routine.

Pomegranate: Pomegranate may seem ugly when you look at them but keeping in mind the old saying “It’s on the inside that counts,” we recommend you eat this fruit. It is filled with excellent chemicals that fight depression. You can drink pomegranate juice daily and benefit your brain and body equally.

Salmon: If you are a seafood lover, then start eating salmon to experience happiness and joviality. Brighten up your day with salmon and many other fishes like tuna and mackerel which are rich in Vitamin D. This vitamin is essential for strong and healthy bones. Salmon consumption helps in feeling happier with a combination of herbs and other important ingredients.

    Honestly who doesn’t like dark chocolate, and don’t even talk about coffee, gives one a good feeling. Generally I believe fruits are the best source of mood booster.

    Salmon is an exceptional source of boosting energy. It works as a catalyst to improve mind function and very good for heart health. Almost all fruits are good for our health, so we should include them in our daily diet.

    I have experienced it myself. Food impacts our mood, especially pomegranate, coffee and dark chocolate. Both are my favorite. My office drawers are always full of dark chocolate.
