Fat bombs are the best thing for sweet cravings. I get those a lot and these types of snacks help. I made up some with peanut butter and chocolate like a Reeses, and they were fantastic. The only problem was that I kept making up excuses to eat them. Cheesecake-flavored ones using cream cheese are really good too.
These sound delicious! I always thought that healthy fats were a more “readily available” form of fuel than processed carbs and sugars. But I was recently told that isn’t the case. I feel dubious about that. What are your thoughts?
Only while in Ketosis are fats more readily available. For most people who are not in Ketosis carbohydrates are more readily consumed by the body. This is the “normal” preferred source of fuel by the body. Being in ketosis is not the normal way to fuel the body. This mode is usually achieved when the body is in starvation mode. Or simulated starvation by being on a Keto Diet.

I am not obese, but I am far from fit and trim and really do want to shed the inner tube at my waist. I get depressed when I do not lose weight and, of course, turn to comfort food. Nasty cycle to be caught up in. These may just be my ticket off the merry-go-round.

As Len said, celery and carrot sticks don’t help physical hunger. If I were to eat cucumber until I am no longer hungry, I could eat a whole cucumber and still be hungry. I think these fat bombs are something that COULD work for a longer time as well.

This is great. My biggest problem dieting is my cravings for something to eat. I am not hungry, just craving a bite to eat, ideally something sweet. I don’t smoke, which I understand deadens the graving for food. I’ll pass on that solution because it is the far worse options. I’m going to try making the chocolate peanut butter fat bombs tonight actually.

For no other reason than vanity I decided to shed the extra fat that has collected around my middle. I have a medical condition so asked my doctor what he recommended. He told me about pills… stomach reduction surgery… liposuction. I was speechless. I had meant what diet did he recommend. I’m going to figure it out for myself.

I am constantly fighting the cravings for sweet snacks. I tied celery and carrot sticks as snacks. They have very few calories and do satisfy a hunger but they do not meet the need for something sweet. I am heading to the kitchen now to whip up a batch of chocolate peanut butter fat bombs.
